    Just returned from 10 days staying in Baan Banburee with another family and had a blast. The staff here are very friendly, the fitness classes and morning bike ride hard, but fun and the room service a blessing! Thank you to "oh" for looking after our kids at the kids club.   • Had a great time

    We loved the resort. The beach was beautiful with decent snorkelling beyond the reef, and kayaks and paddle boards available to help you explore. The club facilities were just right for us. You could be as busy and active as you liked or just chill in the lovely surroundings. Really enjoyed Phil's early morning bike ride...great way to see the surrounding area. Villa accommodation was very spacious and well appointed and private pool was great fun. Food was excellent and the resort atmosphere was very relaxed. Phil and Jane did everything possible to make us feel welcome. The resort staff were marvellously friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The natural warmth and friendliness of the Thai people was reflected by all the staff, which made our stay very special. Thank you...we had a great time.

  • Perfect Family Holiday

    We have just returned from 10 Days staying in Ocean Rooms 14/15. We have had a perfect family holiday. The resort is extremely beautiful - we loved walking through all the flowers to the clubhouse. The view from the spacious balcony was one of the best we have ever had, looking over white sand to the blue sea. The clubhouse/restaurant/pool/gym/kids club area has a fantastic atmosphere & it is hard to leave this and go further afield. Food & service in restaurant are excellent. Kids club lady "Oh" is a real star & our boys spent many happy hours with her is the glass kids room that is great as parents & kids can see each other. There is a healthy atmosphere that encourages swimming, cycling, volleyball, gym, tennis etc. Definitely exercised more than most holidays, which is never a bad thing. Phil & Jane are very welcoming hosts & every staff member is high quality & happy. The beach is large, quiet & beautiful - we spent many happy hours there with our boys exploring & building with sand. We hope to return in the future to see the new clubhouse set-up. Great Holiday!!

  • Perfect place to unwind

    Our family stayed in Baan Chaaba for a week, as a place to relax after a busy week exploring Cambodia. It was the perfect place to unwind. Jane and Phil's hospitality was exceptional, both making us feel so welcome. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, always there to help and to go that extra mile to make our stay so relaxed, always smiling and saying hello. The food was outstanding, the massages a perfect way to start the holiday, and every day we finished up at the beach bar to enjoy a beer whilst our teenagers played volleyball (we finally got roped in on the last day!), before heading back for our Mai Tais before dinner! The villa was spacious, beautifully appointed, with plenty of shade to relax around the pool. A quiet and beautiful beach, with kayaks and the new paddle boards to potter around on, and a lovely walk south to another beautiful bay.

  • Simply the best family holiday and beach wedding you even dream of!!

    Just had a family holiday, beach wedding and honeymoon at Samui Beach Village - Koh Samui, it was absolutely amazing! The villa (Baan Khwam Rak) and Ocean Room we stayed in were fantastic. Staff were all very nice, friendly and helpful, always ready to go that extra mile to provide the best customer service. This was a birthday trip for my little niece, and she was completely over the moon with the loving attention given at the play room - she always returned to us with nicely braided hair, adorably painted face and most importantly, a big smile on her face. My family was absolutely astounded by just how impeccable the service was, how well kept the villa was and just generally how much they enjoyed their time at Samui. As my parents said, this has to be the best holiday they've ever been on (and they have been on quite a few over the years). Special thanks go to our wedding planner Debbie, who gave it her all to ensure that we had the sweetest and most wonderful beach wedding anyone can dream of despite the weather. It was a very thoughtful and well-organised plan B for a beach wedding on a rainy day. We also loved how our celebrant Donna helped personalised our ceremony, adding that extra personal and human touch to our wedding to make it that much more memorable. Carla, our beautician and hair stylist did wonders with my hair and makeup, transformed me from an ordinary-looking woman to a stunning bride - a job beautifully done. Scenic morning bike ride with Phil, kayaking along the coast, renting car and motorbike to leisurely explore the island in our own time, all made possible by this fabulous resort in the south east of the island. My family and I cannot recommend Samui Beach Village enough for your next holiday, be it a sweet romantic one for two or a relaxing and fun-packed one for the whole family.

  • This place is awesome

    Staying here at the moment, staff are absolutely lovely, excellent food either very mild or hot as you like to order it for Thai food, plenty of non Thai food also. The spa, well what can I say, one of the best massages I have ever had. The golf buggy service to your room is fantastic as my husband can't walk far. Off to check out the beach bar later today. Would definitely come back and stay at one of the beach view villas. We are in Bean Chain Haat with awesome views

  • Simply Paradise

    We stayed 1 week in the "Baan Sarika" Beach Front Top villa. The beach is clean, the house spectacular, the facilities great and all the stuff very friendly. We met very nice people and our kids preferred staying the "Kids club" with other kids, than hanging out with us. We enjoyed beautiful and relaxing evenings at the private pool. We will definitely come back again, but we will brings our friends as well.

  • The staff couldn't have been better

    We really enjoyed our stay - the staff couldn't have been better. Club House and Beach Bar VG! Volly Ball and beach excellent - The amenities and resort are excellent for families. I thought that both Phil and Jane were very nice people and I thought the fact that Phil participated in the Volley Ball every day and included himself with his guests was absolutely fantastic. It's a good way to mingle and meet others and enjoy the beach at the same time. I do believe moments such as this holiday with very nice staff, owners and guests is something money can't buy. Good luck to you all and I do believe you all will continue to strive for excellence. Hope to be back sooner rather than later.

  • A Perfect Slice of Paradise

    Our family had a wonderful stay. The staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming. We loved the Beach Bar, swimming pool, pool table and just the general atmosphere of the village.     The activity guy on the beach "Lek" is a great guy. Especially the bike tour with him. The villa is amazing but the staff around gave our stay "the extra". We love the beach volleyball when the kids play around and the adults played with the staff. I will also mention the childcare lady is a great woman, she is also a number one.

    We had a fantastic stay. The staff were all helpful and friendly and always with a smile. The villa is great and beautiful, it was clean and prepared well. I've enjoyed the private pool so much. The beach view from our villa is beautiful. Also the Thai good was delicious and the service was excellent. The massage in the spa centre was great and I loved it.     Thank you Shiva Samui for a very pleasant and relaxing 10 days of sunshine, relaxation and great cocktails. Staff were always very obliging.   • Food was exceptional so much so that we never ate anywhere else.

    We stayed in a fantastic 1 Bedroom ocean front villa and more most of our stay, had the private pool to ourselves. Christopher was extremely helpful every step of the way answering my many questions and patiently waiting on us as we were deciding. He was very quick to respond and offer advice. The accommodation was exactly as explained and the staff were amazing. One big happy family from beginning to end. We opted for full-board and the food was exceptional, (Dada is awesome) - so much so that we never ate anywhere else. We cannot praise this resort high enough, so much so that we will be returning for Christmas, this time to stay in 2 Bedroom villa and then a 4 Bedroom for the last night as the resort is to capacity. We are so looking forward to seeing all the staff again and seeing all the new changes that will be complete upon our return. Thank you EVERYONE for making our stay so memorable (I am not going to mention names in case I forget someone)!

  • A charming place with friendly staff

    Looking for a beach (fine sand, very few people) quiet and away from the hyper activity of Chaweng, we stumbled on a new part of the resort which opened nine days before. The layout was done with great care and great taste. After lunch a green curry chicken served copiously with fresh and quality products, we were invited to go swimming in the brand new swimming pool while we do not resided there. The staff is very welcoming, smiling, speaks good English. Special mention to the host of sporting activities with which we have discussed at length. In the end, we were so charmed that we stayed there to attend a game of beach volleyball while sipping mojitos good. We even dined there.

  • We would not change anything at all

    Our family of 5 was delighted to have chosen this wonderful place for our stay in Koh Samui. Although, we booked a 2 bedroom ocean room, we were given an upgrade to an ocean-front villa which was very considerate to the fact we had young children with us. Needless to say, the extra space, the beautiful villa in the fabulous setting made our vacation. One that we will remember for a long time. Our girls are particularly sad to leave.   • First visit to Samui and Shiva Samui has been a great base.

    This has been our first visit to Koh Samui and staying at Shiva Samui has been a great base for us because of its convenient location, staff are superb, friendly and helpful. Having a villa gives us the best of both world, having our own space but being able to take advantage of the resort facilities. The fact that the pool area is cleaned twice a day has been a bonus to us. All in all, we had a wonderful time.

  • If you privacy but the luxury of a beach resort, Shiva Samui is the place to go.

    All staff were very helpful, pleasant and professional but we particularly liked the waiter in the evening in the green shirt - I lost my phone and brought it back to the villa and also helped when our water pump in the villa didn't work. The were foremost amazing, so polite and genuinely lovely people, always willing to put customers first. The villas were cleaned daily and serviced impeccable. We felt safe, security manned the resort throughout the day and night. People of all cultures and ages were here during our two week stay and all looked like they enjoyed themselves. If you want privacy, but the luxury of a beach resort, Shiva Samui is the place to go.
